This is both an instrumental and lyrical remix/blend designed to tell a personal story and hopefully draw a unique audio picture. Hope you enjoy it :)
Details are : Nine Inch Nails - "Me, I'm Not", Muse - "Undisclosed Desires" + some PieceWork Bits
Soundgarden - "Blow up...", Juno Reactor - "Pistolero (Bombey Dub Mix)" : This is a frame by frame intricate weave of both tunes for a blend foundation in addition to some other touches AND a lyrical remix.
PS: Do yourself a solid and check it out @Soundgarden and @Juno-Reactor1
I pieced out clips of Nine Inch Nails, Fluke, and PieceWork beats to create the foundation for the mix. I couldn't completely turn it into an instrumental. What is an Ozzy song without Ozzy?
This is a silly, feel good, get your groove on mix/mash/blend/weave ... you know ... pieced :D!
I very much hope it makes you giggle and and have fun! Thanks for listening :)
Details : Strobe's Nanafushi (Satori Mix), Loco Dice - "La Bicicletta", Gunsmoke Actors for Marshall Dillon, Chester, Miss Kitty, and Festus, and PieceWork Beats and Pieces.
First, thank you to all who allow me to share my strange audio sculptures. It means so much that you listen, and I love it when you like it, too! Special thanks to the very talented @genadi_vii for honoring me with the stems from his track "Sitting In A Dark Room". I followed the feeling that Tool's lyricist for "Right In Two" painted, created some beats ... more heartbeat than housebeat for this one ... added some splashes of Shinedown - "Devour" and "Duduk of the North" from the Gladiator Soundtrack.
I know there are many sincere, intelligent, creative, and good-hearted people in the world (especially my fellow artsy types!). It seems that "Right In Two" expresses our common frustration with the beast-like manner of our society. I don't subscribe to evolution, quite the opposite ... I believe we started perfect and devolved into the sad state we find ourselves in the middle of. I also believe that perfection is part of our future, and this violent world is only temporary.
I hope you enjoy the pieceture. Thank you again for listening!
I absolutely LOVE Juno Reactor. They changed the way I looked at music WAY back when I first heard them ... mid 90's. If you would, please check them out here @juno-reactor1 on the cloud. Their song "Silver" was one of the many that I used in my fitness classes (back in the day), and man we would throw it down when this came on!
So, I painted a dreamland this time, along with a strange little dude I call Silver Man. It incorporates Metallica - "Enter Sandman" (I know, I know ... it's been done to death, but I hope this is a different experience). I also did some original stuff plus added pieces of "Through the Never" and some Psykosonic pieces for some FX. I hope you find the dream enjoyable. Thanks for listening!
There are many great musicians, but I find that a lot of them are like a public speaker with a beautiful, rich voice ... giving a discourse with no outline and no concern for the audience's interests ... speaking just to hear the sound of his own voice. Jack Morefield is not this way. It is my opinion that this is why I am truly moved by his music. If you have not had the pleasure yet, please check him out here : @jackwm
This mix was created from samples from NIN, Audiomachine, David Edwards, and many colors from the PieceWork Library. Thank you Jack for the honor of sculpting a piece with your work, and thank you everyone for allowing me to share with you :)
I started working on this last year ... little by little. @in-catharsis-1 was kind enough to allow me the stems a few weeks ago, and now the picture is complete. Thank you @in-catharsis-1 so much for allowing me to paint with your colors, and thank you Soundcloud community for allowing me to share with you.
Filled my pallet with samples from NIN, Metallica, Immediate Music, and the PieceWork Library/Imagination
If you haven't heard the original yet, it's a must!! in-catharsis-1 – Eternal-darkness.
The Crystal Method - "Keep Hope Alive (Trip Hop Mix)", Korn - “Coming Undone” : Remix/Mashup and Lyrical Remix to convey a decidedly positive attitude in spite of adversity.
Pieced and Remixed Way Out West ft. Kirsty Hawkshaw - "Stealth (Quivver Mix)", Metallica - "Orion", Suzanne Palmer, Offer Nissim - "Home", & Cedric Gervais vs Second Sun - a beat clip from this remix of Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" + PieceWork to create a storm to dance in. I spent a LONG but enjoyable time on this one. The pieces of Metallica had to be manipulated to the Nth degree to really fit the vibe I was going for. Hope I was successful in creating something you'll enjoy!
Ice Cube - "You Can Do It", M. Elliott/T. Mosley/M. Miller/M. Stevens - "Shake Your Pom Pom (Prod. By Timbaland)", Blue Boy - "Remember Me", Soul Coughing - Beat Clip from "Super Bon Bon" + PieceWork clips. I pieced beat clips from all three to create a new foundation, and then just went crazy with the rest. I hope you find it fun!
Dance Blend of Tool - "Prison..." + The Presets - "Steamworks" I love the feel of the music of Tool. I appreciate their intelligence and talent... not a big fan of harsh lyrics. I keep looking for ways to celebrate Tool while keeping it in line with my heart. Plus, blending them with The Presets and some other loops and stuff I experimented with made for a unique picture.
Chris Cornell - "Part of Me" + some loops I "strung" together... (tee! hee!) Did a little bit of a lyrical remix. I think it is awesome that this artist is just that... an artist... not locked into a genre, but just expresses what he feels through music in whatever colors it comes in.
Tool - "Undertow", NIN - "Deep" : I admire these artists. They are some of my oldest favorites. I like the way they play together, too. This is some of my older work, but it's one of the better ones from that learning period (as if the learning ever stops!) Both songs were remixed to take on the flavor of the other, and then arranged as the pieces fell into place. Hope you enjoy it :)
Jason Aldean - "She's Country", Sister Machine Gun - "Red" : I'm not a country connoisseur, but I liked doing this mash. I really like SMG's sound and the flavor they gave each other. I liked drawing this pic, too :)
This started a long time ago as a straight forward mashup of two of my favorites. I used them in everything from cleaning house and driving down the road to motivating my fitness clients to work up a sweat! As I learn more, though, the less I am happy with just a simple mash. I want it to be at the very least something quasi - original. I completely recreated the beats and blended some of the songs breaks and beats in with mine to keep the flavor. The dubstep just took a life of its own ... very fun to work with :).
I am working on a couple of projects that will take some time to complete ... so in the meantime I thought I'd share this Transformer Dubstep remix of my mashup :)
The Crystal Method - "Keep Hope Alive"
The Propellerheads - "Take California"
PieceWork's Mash - "Kali"
Transformers FX & The PieceWork Library

So many giggles! Had way too much fun mashing Taco - "Puttin On The Ritz" + Ramstein "Heirate Mich"
There's tap dancing ... too much! I still laugh my fool head off when I hear it!!
The Cure - "Burn", Bjork - "Hunter (GusGus Mix)" : I have a lot of old mixes, but they are done with old crayons. There are some that I colored too hard, broke the crayon, chewed and slobbered. This mix was done with a new box. Hope you enjoy it :)
Puddle of Mud - "Psycho", The Prodigy - "Mindfields", Cypress Hill - "Insane..." : Silly...isn't it?
